Jenna Johnson, MA - Supervisor, Day Treatment
A Little About Jenna’s Role
Jenna joined our team in May 2016 and has worked in human services since 2010. She completed her therapy internship in June 2017 and started as a therapist in August 2017. She has worked with children and families from diverse populations such as at-risk youth in a residential setting, early attachment-focused day treatment services, couples counseling, in-home parenting skills work, and children with autism spectrum disorders. She is excited to work with family systems and teens within her role as treatment coordinator. She considers herself to be attachment-focused and strengths-based, and has competencies in cognitive-behavioral approaches, crisis intervention, and is trauma-informed. “I believe it is important to help the client and family to identify their positive strengths that will be used to assist in dealing with the concerns that have brought them to therapy,” she says. “I hope to provide stability for clients so that they are able to transition into home, school, and social life outside of day treatment with foundation skills that help them to live long, fulfilling lives.”
Outside of work, Jenna enjoys playing slow-pitch softball, playing hockey, reading, and crafting.
